Food safety is a top priority concerning the people’s livelihood. Fresh milk is a product that consumers pay most attention to in the import expo. How to let Chinese consumers drink high-quality and safe imported milk is an urgent livelihood problem for the company and even the society at present.

Under the innovative regulatory model of “overseas inspection and domestic clearance” implemented by Shanghai Customs and Changning District Government, the business environment has been fundamentally optimized for the company. “Zero waiting” has been achieved for imported products. Before the “overseas inspection and domestic clearance” model reform, business regulations were mainly spot inspections at the port of entry. Theland has realized double-inspection in New Zealand and China. The time of customs clearance is shortened through accurate regulation and the system innovation called “overseas inspection and domestic clearance”. Meanwhile, Theland has bought the AAIC “Quality and Safety Insurance” and promoted the establishment of a product insurance recovery mechanism. Through the above measures, the company has improved the six commitments in its letter of commitment to quality and safety, implemented the non-delegable responsibility of quality and safety and truly established a long-term mechanism for fresh milk customs clearance. Now, fresh milk from New Zealand can reach Chinese consumers in at least 3 days. 8 days are saved in the inspection process for the company. “Zero waiting” has been achieved for fresh milk in customs clearance!

On Dec. 28 last year, Shanghai Customs (the former Shanghai Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau) and the People's Government of Changning District signed an agreement to start cooperation in the pilot program for trade facilitation. Theland signed its Letter of Commitment to Quality and Safety at the meeting. This means product, consumer and social responsibilities will be mainly borne by the company itself.
